A Tuscaloosa teen was charged with the armed robbery of a gas station early on the morning of Dec. 14.

Curvin Christopher Wallace, 18, was taken into custody Wednesday after he and another suspect allegedly robbed the Chevron gas station on McFarland Boulevard at gunpoint.

According to Tuscaloosa Police Department Public Information Officer Stephanie Taylor, both suspects allegedly demanded money before running out of the store and across McFarland Boulevard.

Shortly after, the clerk was able to call TPD officers to report the robbery. Investigators were then able to track down a vehicle matching the description of the one the suspects used to flee the scene

Almost a full month after the robbery, Wallace was taken into custody at a home on Forest Hill in Tuscaloosa.

Wallace was booked at the Tuscaloosa County Jail, where he remained Thursday on a $60,000 bond. TPD is conducting an ongoing investigation into the other suspect, and anyone who has any information about the robbery is encouraged to call TPD at (205) 349-2121.
