Virtual Baby Shower This Saturday With Tuscaloosa One Place

Who doesn’t love a baby shower?  I mean, seriously, they are so much fun.  In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is hard to have a baby shower.  I’ve seen quite a few Facebook family members and friends explore the option of “drive-thru” baby showers where the mom to be, sits on the porch, and enjoys all the attention.  I’ve seen car parades, gift drop-offs, drive-thru games, and the list goes on and on.  That sounds like so much fun.

Another option to explore for Baby Showers is virtually through different video gathering services like Zoom.   If you are expecting or a new parent, make sure you take time out to check out the Virtual Community Baby Shower hosted by Tuscaloosa’s One Place, all presented on Zoom.  According to the Facebook Event Page, it will take place on Saturday, June 27th, from 10 am to Noon.  The details provided on the event page, asks “Are you an expectant or new parent? Join TOP for a FREE Virtual Community Baby Shower complete with games, education, information, and more!  Register by calling our parenting department at 205.462.1000. Spaces are limited!”

TOP (Tuscaloosa’s One Place) is an excellent organization.  A message from the Executive Director notes that TOP is “a Family Resource Center.  We believe that healthy families build healthy communities.  Our mission has always been to empower people to achieve their full potential, and we proudly provide resources to promote self-sufficiency, strengthen families, and prevent child abuse and neglect, thus improving the quality of life for all members of our community.”
