Walker County Sheriff’s Offers Reward in Missing Person Case

Three weeks have passed since anyone has seen Summer Lashay Buzbee, and now the Walker County Sheriff's Office is offering a $2,500 reward for information that assists in bringing her home.

Buzbee was initially reported on December 21, 2020, and at the time the report was taken, her last known appearance was December 17th. Investigators discovered that Buzbee was seen on December 20th when she visited a family member's place of employment; however, she has not been seen since.

Although the WCSO has no indication or evidence of foul play in the case, investigators are becoming increasingly concerned about Buzbee's safety.

"People have asked about conducting physical searches of geographic areas for Summer," the Walker County Sheriff's Office said. "Unfortunately, we do not have any known location that would be beneficial for a designated search."

"She has been known to hang out with West Jasper residents, and she walked most of her travels. Therefore, routes from Mar-Jac to the Saragossa Mobile Home Park would be among the areas to look," the WCSO added. "Areas of vacant houses, buildings or other structures might be of interest also, as she could have sought refuge in these locations."
