Those are NOT heroes. Talented individuals absolutely.

A hero is someone that has sacrificed so much, and sometimes their life, to serve our country.

A few weeks ago, on Veterans Day, a Tuscaloosa family heard about a local restaurant honoring veterans.

The restaurant is called Hooters and is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The Price Family of the Tuscaloosa area is proud to have an extremely decorated war veteran as a father, grandfather and great grandfather.

The family thought it would be a great idea to take their hero out to dinner, to honor his sacrifice on Veteran's Day.

The ignorant and unexperienced staff treated the local veteran and war hero with disdain and humiliated him.

Remember, this is after they had been advertising a special free meal on Veteran's Day at their location.

They at first, told Ray Price that his veteran father should go "buy drinks at the bar and maybe they would give him a free sandwich".

Mr. Price can not have alcoholic beverages due to some medical issues.

After that, they just generally embarrassed the war hero even saying at one point, "Sorry, but, like, umm, we don't like, give free meals to people at Hooters. We don't care who you are".

Inexcusable.

Unforgivable.

I tried calling for a comment and to get the Hooters version of events but was hung up on.

Just plain rude.

This hero deserves better. So, after a segment on the "Steve & DC Show" on 95.3 The Bear, Bob Baumhower phoned in and invited the Price family to come enjoy a free meal at one of his fantastic dining establishments.

It was great, according to the Price family.

Thanks Bob Baumhower.

I should have known an amazing former Alabama football player (and Miami Dolphin) would step up and save the day for a true hero here in Alabama.

Hooters, you should be ashamed of yourselves.
