Did you know that “about half of the peanuts grown in the United States are grown within a 100-mile radius of Dothan, Alabama, the “self-proclaimed Peanut Capital of the World,” said the Alabama Farmers Agriculture Foundation.

I mean, who hasn’t driven past the big peanut in Dothan when headed to the beaches. I have a picture of the family in front of it, somewhere. Another interesting fact is that in the city they have all sorts of peanut art.

I have a lot of peanut butter favorites.

Apple slices and peanut butter

Peanut butter cookies

PB&J sandwiches

Peanut Butter, Sliced banana’s and honey sandwich

OMG, have you ever had a Peanut Butter and Marshmallow Fluff sandwich?

In a smoothie

A tablespoon in your oatmeal

However, my favorite of favorites is PEANUT BUTTER PIE!!!!!!!

I never had peanut butter pie until I moved to Alabama. My neighbor Barbara whipped it up for me. It was AMAZING. Also, it was a Weight Watchers recipe too. I’ve been hooked since.

I haven’t had a slice of peanut butter pie in a long time. I wish I could call up Barbara and ask her to fix one up. However, she passed a few years ago, but our adventures will last in my memories. I don’t even know where I could get a slice in Tuscaloosa. Do you know?  Let me know on IG @MaryKRadio
