Winter in the South: 70 Degrees Yesterday, Snow Flurries Today in West Alabama
As most of the nation is dealing with a massive winter storm. Alabama was met yesterday with some wild weather. Warm temperatures, severe weather, and even tornadoes. Today, a different story, chilly temperatures and portions of West Alabama are experiencing some snow flurries.
According to James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said on his Facebook page that “We have a few snow flurries over West Alabama this afternoon… Video from Brandy Boswell in Ralph, southwest of Tuscaloosa. No accumulation, no impact, no need to panic.”
As Alabamians are well aware, Winter in the south can be a mixture of all different types of weather elements.
The National Weather Service in Birmingham said that this afternoon there is a “slight chance of sprinkles and flurries before 4 pm.” Also, there will be a “north wind around 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.”
