YNW Melly, Trippie Redd, Action Bronson and More: New Projects This Week

Several anticipated projects premiered over the course of the last seven days. Look below to check out all of the freshly released albums, mixtapes and EPs of the week.

YNW Melly faces off with himself for Melly Vs. Melvin. Prior to dropping his latest project, the once rising rap star appeared on several 2019 releases, including Lil Keed’s Long Live Mexico, Yung Bans’ Misunderstood and Tee Grizzley’s Scriptures. In January, the platinum rapper released his critically acclaimed debut album, We All Shine. The project, which featured the Kanye West-assisted “Mixed Personalities,” was released a month before the currently incarcerated Melly was charged with a couple of counts of first-degree murder. The Florida rhymer continues to maintain his innocence.

Former XXL Freshman Trippie Redd returns with his second release of the year. The fourth installment in his beloved A Love Letter to You series arrives only months after his sophomore album ! hit streaming services. DaBaby, Tory Lanez, Lil Mosey, Lil Yachty, YoungBoy Never Broke Again and others appear throughout the mixtape, which features the singles “Death” and “Love Me More.”

Action Bronson and Alchemist are back at it. The Mr. Wonderful rapper and the legendary hip-hop producer partnered up for 2012’s Rare Chandeliers and have once again teamed up for a new project called Lamb Over Rice. The Alchemist-produced EP was announced earlier this month and features seven songs.
