Dickens Downtown in Northport, Alabama is a Must-Do Christmas Tradition
The 2021 holiday season is in full swing with tons of family events taking place across Tuscaloosa County. The City of Northport will be celebrating Dickens Downtown on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, from 5 pm until 8 pm. Be sure to be on the lookout for Father Christmas as well.
You can celebrate the “true spirit of Christmas” in an “outdoor Victorian Christmas celebration.” This is a free event for all ages that will take you to a time and place that you have only read about in a book. The holiday event is hosted along Main Avenue in Northport. Also, you are encouraged to participate by dressing in Dickens-era costumes but it is not mandatory.
The Merchants of Historic Downtown Northport are “excited to bring back this tradition of 20+ years this December. They noted on Facebook that “for the health and safety of our community, this year will focus on the outdoor celebration. Guests can expect snow, live music and caroling, and lots of Christmas spirit.”
