The Alabama Department of Public Health has confirmed 167 cases of COVID-19 coronavirus in the state, according to a report released Monday morning.

The ADPH publishes updated numbers twice daily, and added 10 new cases between the Sunday afternoon and Monday morning reports.

Jefferson County leads the state with 79 confirmed cases of the virus. Lee County, Madison County and Shelby County all have 17 confirmed cases.

Tuscaloosa County did not add any new cases Monday, holding firm at seven confirmed cases.

Analysis of samples remains sluggish -- the ADPH reports that they have only successfully completed 1,832 tests, 167 of which were confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The state's death toll remains at zero. Reports are generally released after 10 each morning and 4 each afternoon, so stay tuned to this site and station for updated figures as they are provided.
