The Alabama Crimson Tide has already won the SEC regular season championship and will try to make a deep run in March to close out the 2021 season strong. While head coach Nate Oats closes out his second season he already has eyes on his third by dominating the recruiting trail.

Oats' first recruiting class ended up ranked No. 12 in the nation while also bringing in one of the top graduate-transfers in the nation. He is looking to out do himself with his second class and has his eyes a top target that would take the 2021 class to the next level.

Alabama already has secured three players in the upcoming class, 5-star guard JD Davison, 4-star forward Jusaun Holt and 4-star JUCO forward Langston Wilson. The trio has the Crimson Tide ranked with the No. 18 class in the nation according to 247Sports but the class could get a major shot in the arm with another addition or two.

4-star center, Charles Bediako is reportedly close to making his decision on where he will play his college basketball. The Crimson Tide is firmly in the mix for the Canadian big man who's playing his basketball at IMG Academy in Florida. 247Sports has predicted the 6-foot-11 center to be the next Canadian to make his athletic presence felt at The Capstone.

The acquisition of Bediako in the 2021 class would vault the Tide into the top 10 recruiting classes with still several months until the 2021 academic year begins. Alabama's class would be full with the four aforementioned players but Oats could still manipulate the transfer portal or bring in another prospect if the Tide has a surprise departure after the 2020 season.

Regardless of how the season concludes for the Crimson Tide basketball program Oats has ensured his program is here to contend for the foreseeable future through an exciting brand of basketball and recruiting high level players.
