Shows like Authur, Sesame Street, Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood were on the brink of being obsolete from televisions across the state of Alabama.

According to US News, Alabama Public Television is considering ending their partnership with PBS. The discussion was scheduled to take place on November 18th.

Sources are reporting that Alabama governor Kay Ivey has gotten involved.

According to AP News, Ivey asked the Alabama Educational Television Commission to conduct an extended survey of Alabama voters “to ensure their voices are heard.” She said the commission should also develop a separation plan that “should be available for public review for a considerable length of time before any vote is taken.”

It seems that after the backlash and intervention from Governor Kay Ivey, Alabama and PBS will continue its relationship.
