Alabama Residents Set To Receive $150 Tax Rebate Checks Soon

By the end of the year 2023, many Alabamians will be a little bit richer thanks to a one-time payment to be sent out soon.

According to Fox News, a recently passed rebate plan will score single people in Alabama a payment of $150, and married couples will receive $300. the payments are due to a budget surplus in the state's Education Trust Fund.

Everyone in Alabama will not qualify for this payment.

According to Fox News, only those who filed a state income tax return for 2021 on or before October 17, 2022, are eligible.

The cost of these rebate payments is close to $400 million.

Fox News states that the Alabama Department of Revenue will begin issuing checks for this rebate payment in late November of 2023. Direct deposit users will see the money in their accounts automatically.
