Alabama The 2nd Least Safest State During COVID-19

There have been so many conversations about COVID-19 and how we're treating it in Alabama. Now there's data to reflect how safe we actually are.

We're officially into the new year and COVID-19 is still a very real concern for the United States. After lockdowns, quarantine, mask mandates, and more, there are some that still feel more can be done to keep Americans safe during the pandemic.

Here in Alabama, conversations have come about surrounding how we've handled the pandemic. Most recently, people have voiced their opinions about celebrations after the National Championship win.

Wallet Hub recently gathered information and ranked all 50 states including the District of Columbia to determine the most and least safe states in this new world of COVID-19. Where do you think Alabama falls in all of this?

According to Wallet Hub's information, the Yellowhammer state is the 2nd least safe state in the U.S during COVID-19. WOW!

If you're wondering how Wallet Hub came up with their rankings, it was very detailed. It wasn't just based on COVID-19 transmission numbers. The info included the rates of COVID-19 transmission, positive testing, hospitalizations and death, as well as the share of the eligible population getting vaccinated. The safest state in the United States ended up being Alaska according to their rankings.

After seeing this information, do you feel safe in Alabama? It doesn't make me feel any less or more safe honestly, but I can't speak for everyone in the state. How do you feel?
