Land Unbelievable Deals for a Good Cause at Buy for RISE Fundraiser Next Week
Score great deals for an even greater cause as the University of Alabama's RISE Center brings back its annual Buy for RISE fundraiser next Friday and Saturday.
According to a release from the University's News Center, the event is the program's second-largest fundraiser. Proceeds from the event ensure children with special needs receive services at no cost to their families.

During the event, local retailers, including Effie’s, JnJ, Lou and Co, Bossi, McStitches Embellished Goods, Woods and Water, Confetti Interiors, Hudson Poole Fine Jewelers, Part Two, The Locker Room and more, will provide bargains on items ranging from clothing to home decor.
Bailey Chambers, assistant director of the RISE Center, said in a release the event's success is due to the support from the community.
"The Tuscaloosa community and merchants so generously donate to this fundraiser each year and help make it a successful event," Chambers said.
The event will take place at the Stallings Center, home of the RISE program, beginning with a preview party on November 4 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. where attendees will have an opportunity to purchase items at 75% off the lowest marked prices.
Tickets for the preview event are $100 for a golden ticket, which will allow early entry access beginning at 4:30 p.m. and $10 for a general admission ticket, which will allow entry beginning at 5 p.m. Food and drinks will be available and tickets can be purchased at the RISE Center.
The general sale will take place on November 5 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. Admission is free and available items will be discounted at 90%.
The RISE Center is located at 600 Johnny Stallings Drive on the campus of the University of Alabama.
