The Central High School Falcons (1-5, 1-2) lost its homecoming game to the Aliceville Yellow Jackets (5-1, 2-0) 42-13 on Friday night.

Central received the opening kickoff and started its drive at the 32-yard line. After a couple of penalties, junior quarterback David McNeil threw a 59-yard pass to sophomore running back Shunkeith Turner, placing the Falcons at the opponents five-yard line. The next play, McNeil ran the ball into the end zone for the five-yard rushing touchdown to put the Falcons on the board first.

The first quarter ended with Central still up 7-0 over Aliceville.

Aliceville opened the second quarter with the ball at its own 43-yard line. The Yellow Jackets drove down the field and scored on a one-yard run by senior quarterback Ty'Jarian Williams. The Yellow Jackets did not get the two-point conversion which kept the Falcons lead 7-6.

The Yellow Jackets got the ball back after Central could not get the ball down the field. Aliceville started its drive at its own 35-yard line and, on the first play, Williams threw a 37-yard pass to junior running back Jaboree Jones, setting the Yellow Jackets up at the opponents 28-yard line. After a couple of plays, Williams ran the ball in for a eight-yard rushing touchdown and Yellow Jackets successfully converted a two-point conversion to give the team the 14-7 lead over Central.

Central's next drive started at its own 45-yard line. The Falcons drove the ball down to the opponents six-yard line where the the offense turned the ball over on downs after failing to find the end zone on a fourth down play.

A deep possession was no problem for the Yellow Jackets as Williams ran the ball all the way to the end zone for 94-yard rushing touchdown on the first snap of the drive. The Yellow Jackets led 20-7 after failing to convert the two-point conversion.

Aliceville went into halftime with a 20-7 lead over Central.

The Yellow Jackets were forced to punt after Central's defense forced a three-and-out. The Falcons started their drive on their own 35-yard line but quickly turned the ball back over to Aliceville.

The Yellow Jackets turned the ball over with an interception by Falcons defensive lineman Jamarion Gilmore.

Central drove the ball down the field at a quick pace and McNeil scored on a five-yard run into the end zone. A missed extra point kept the Aliceville lead 20-13.

Aliceville answered back on its following drive as Williams threw a 47-yard passing touchdown to junior wide receiver TyQuan Simon. The Yellow Jackets converted the two-point conversion and extended its lead to 28-13.

Aliceville continued to extend its lead, this time with a two-yard passing touchdown to senior Jordan Sterling and the Yellow Jackets converted a two-point conversion extending its lead over the Falcons 36-13.

The Yellow Jackets went on to score one more time after junior KeAnthony Wilder intercepted the Falcons and scored a pick-six. A missed two point conversion made the final score 42-13.

Williams ended the game 15-of-21 for 211 yards and two touchdowns for the Yellow Jackets. Williams also ended the night with 115 rushing yards on six attempts for three rushing touchdowns.

"This win was really big for the community of Aliceville," said Yellow Jackets head coach Grady Griffin. "Ty is just Ty. He is going to give you those big plays."

"This is not a very good football team, we're not disciplined," said Central head coach Rodney Bivens Jr. "We have to make a decision on whether we're going make a commitment on doing things just simply the right way."

Next week, Central travels to Hillcrest and Aliceville travels Lamar County.
