Many residents are now out of work as businesses have to close their doors due to health restrictions, and the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama is hosting a conference call at 10 a.m. today (March 19) to explain the process of filing for unemployment benefits and what those benefits include.

As you know, the Alabama Department of Labor (ADOL) is allowing displaced employees to file for unemployment compensation. ADOL will also allow employers to mass file for their employees. The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama will be hosting a conference call related to unemployment tomorrow, March 19th, at 10:00 a.m. We will be joined by representatives from ADOL, who will walk you through the unemployment filing process. This will enable you to assist your employees with the process or file on their behalf.
