Jaden Shackelford will most likely not be drafted in the 2022 NBA draft.

Most mock drafts have him going undrafted due to his older age and being an inconsistent playmaker and shooter. Since he declared for the draft process only a few NBA teams have invited him to come workout for them. The most recent team to see what Shackelford was made of is the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets invited six players to come workout for them on June 18. Some of the other players invited were Duke forward Wendell Moore and Vanderbilt guard Scotty Pippin Jr.

Right now Shackelford's most likely scenario is going undrafted in this years draft and getting picked up by a team to play on its Summer League team.

Shackelford can still make the best out of this situation and really impress these teams during these workout invites. If he plays well during the Summer League the best scenario for him would be a team giving him a two-way contract for the 2022-2023 NBA season.

This definitely is not what Shackelford had hoped for after being a great scorer with the Tide for three seasons, but if he proves that he can still be a lethal scorer at the highest level of competition in the world than maybe he will get a shot in the NBA.
