City of Tuscaloosa to Hold Ribbon Cutting At Sokol Park North
Tuscaloosa's Sokol Park has been receiving improvements recently and the City of Tuscaloosa plans to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony soon to commemorate the new work.
According to a press release sent to Townsquare Media, the City of Tuscaloosa will hold a Sokol Park North ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, October 17 at 9 a.m. to recognize the phase two improvements to the park.
The improvements to Sokol Park North were funded by Elevate Tuscaloosa, and include the following:
- Repaving existing parking lots
- Adding a new traffic circle to improve traffic flow
- Creating a new parking lot near the baseball fields
- Storm drain improvements to help fields recover more quickly from heavy rain events
- Phase 2 improvements began in Spring 2023.
No need to worry about paying to get into the ceremony as it's completely free to attend and it's open to the public.
