Derrick Henry was one of the great players to play football at Alabama. At 6-foot-3 and weighing 242 pounds, Henry had 3,591 rushing yards and 42 rushing touchdowns during his time at Alabama. He also helped lead the Tide to a national championship. He was drafted in the second round with the 45th overall pick to the Titans in 2016. Henry most recently won 2020 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

In a hilarious clip circulating Twitter from the podcast “Bussin with the Boys” presented by Barstool Sports, hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan interview Henry about his career at Bama. They repeatedly ask him how much Alabama paid him to attend and they assume it was a lot of money. Henry goes on to troll about all of his accomplishments while at the University of Alabama:

“I got paid nothing. They paid me in rings.”

He says as he shows off his hands and imaginary rings.

“If we gone win, put it all on me. And what happened?”

“I won the Heisman. Won the Doak Walker. Took home the Walter Camp. I took home the Maxwell. And I took home a ring.”

Compton and Lewan then go on to ask who in his family got jobs, houses, and cars from his success. Henry replies, “All those trophies got jobs. They went on this shelf. other went on that shelf.”

The interview goes on while all laugh in good fun.
