Donta Hall Gets Big League Opportunity

Former Alabama forward Donta Hall is signing a 10-day contract with the Toronto Raptors according to Shams Charania. Hall re-enters the NBA after having spent time with the Detroit Pistons and the Brooklyn Nets in 2019-20.

Hall received two consecutive 10-day contract last year from the Detroit Pistons averaging 1.5 points and 3.8 rebounds in 12 minutes played in four games for the Pistons in 2020.

The big man from Luverne, Alabama was added to the Brooklyn Nets "Bubble Roster" as a substitute player in Orlando to conclude the 2020 season. While with the Nets, Hall averaged 6.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and one block in five games of action. Hall was let go at the conclusion of the year and was added to the G League's Ignite roster on Jan. 14 2021.

Hall was at Alabama from 2015-19 and was known as an athletic rim protector and impressive dunker in college. He averaged 7.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game throughout his four-year career.

Hall earned two-time All-SEC Defensive Team for his junior and senior campaign. His 228 career blocks are seventh-most in Alabama Crimson Tide history.

As a high schooler he earned Class 2A Player of the Year at Luverne High School and was also named All-State for his senior campaign. He averaged a triple-double in his senior year, tallying 22.6 points, 18.1 rebounds and 12 blocks per game.
