Escaped Tuscaloosa Inmate Chased Down 15th Street By Deputies
Thursday morning proved to be a wild one in Tuscaloosa. An inmate escaped custody and was seen running the streets just before 10 am.
Multiple tips and messages were sent to Townsquare Media regarding the escaped inmate Thursday morning.
"Deputies chasing an escaped inmate on foot under bridge at 359 and 15th," read one message sent in this morning.
There were posts circulating on social media showing a person in an orange jumpsuit running in the middle of the street. The person appeared to be barefoot in the photos.
Another video circulating showed the person in the orange jumpsuit running up a hill underneath the highway.
According to messages sent to Townsquare Media, the inmate was captured and taken back into custody. There is currently no official word from authorities on exactly what happened regarding this situation.
