Free Rides To The Polls On November 3rd In Tuscaloosa

There are so many registered voters who may not have the means to go to the polls on November 3rd to vote. This organization is helping to combat that problem.

An organization called the Poor People's Campaign is supplying Tuscaloosa residents with free rides to the polls on November 3rd for election day. There are certain qualifications to getting that ride to the polls but it's nothing too out of the ordinary.

To Receive A Ride to The Polls Voters:

  • Must live in the Tuscaloosa city area
  • Must be registered to vote
  • Must wear a mask
  • Must be able to walk without aids

According to their Facebook page, the Poor People's Campaign is building a movement to overcome systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, and the war economy. Everybody's got a right to live. That's something I can get behind!

I love the fact that your political party affiliation doesn't matter, you're income isn't a factor, and they are offering rides to anyone in need who fit the narrow list of qualifications. If you need a ride on election day and you fit the qualifications, you're being asked to call 334-322-1138 or text 205-344-1555 from 7am-7pm. This is sponsored by the Tuscaloosa County Poor People's Campaign- Rev. John Stewart & Dr. Pamela Foster- Tuscaloosa County Co-Leads.
