Thanksgiving is approaching and there is a special event happening in Tuscaloosa.

On Monday, November 21st at 5p, a free Thanksgiving dinner will be provided to the first 350 people who arrive at the McDonald Hughes Center.

"Just show up, sit down, and be served," said Joe Eatmon, one of the event organizers during an interview.

"I'd just like to first thank everybody, all the sponsors of the event. Senator Bobby Singleton, Representative Chris England, AJ McCampbell, Curtis Travis, Spades, PARA, Townsquare, The Big Dawg DreDay, and everybody that helped make this happen."

"First come first serve, we got about 350 meals that we'll be looking forward to giving out. It's a sit-down affair so we're going to come out and let you sit down and relax," said Eatmon.

As a Tuscaloosa native, Eatmon is looking forward to giving back to his community this holiday season.

"I'm from Tuscaloosa, I was born and raised here, and basically, I credit the city of Tuscaloosa for making me the man I am today. I just want to take this opportunity to give back to them since they've poured so much into me."

There is no prior registration required for this event, and it is free to the community. the 350 meals will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
