GameDay is Coming to Tuscaloosa
ESPN's College GameDay is coming to the Iron Bowl this year. This will be the second time the crew has been in Tuscaloosa this season, after attending the Tide's victory over the Georgia Bulldogs back in October.
ESPN made the announcement on Twitter Saturday.
Alabama comes into the Iron Bowl ranked number 1 at 7-0 with big wins over two top-10 teams in Texas A&M and Georgia. Auburn, ranked 22, has found success in recent weeks after a slow start to the season and comes into Bryant Denny Stadium next week at 5-2 with losses coming to South Carolina and Georgia.
The GameDay show will be aired to no in-person audience, and will be filmed from inside the stadium like it was in October. This will be Alabama's 16th time hosting the show and breaks a tie with Ohio State for most overall appearances at 49.
While Alabama showed pure dominance against a feisty Kentucky team that played the Tigers close in their first half of their matchup, Auburn has shown steady improvement since their loss to South Carolina in week four. Bo Nix, in his last three outings, has completed over 60% of his passes and has a 5-1 touchdown to interception ratio as opposed to only eclipsing 60% once and posting a 5-4 touchdown to interception ratio in his first four games.
The Tigers are surging just at the right time to be a problem for Alabama. This game is shaping up to be very stressful for Crimson Tide fans.
