Alabama softball ace Montana Fouts has won Softball America's 2023 NCAA Pitcher of the Year Award.

Last season, Fouts pitched 230 innings, made 31 starts in 44 appearances, and finished with a 25-11 record and a 1.49 ERA, recording 323 strikeouts, 139 hits, 59 runs (49 earned), 41 walks, and 17 home runs.

This is one of numerous awards Fouts has won not only this season, but also throughout her career. According to RollTide.com, the other accolades she has received this year include being named USA Softball Player of the Year Finalist, All-SEC First-Team, two NFCA Pitcher of the Week, and four-time SEC Pitcher of the Week.

Fouts also led Team 27 to a 45-22 record, including 14-10 in conference play, an SEC Tournament and 2023 Women's College World Series appearance and won the Tuscaloosa Regional and Super Regional.
