Saywerville Man Charged with Killing Rival in Hale County Shootout
A Sawyerville man has been charged with murder after he allegedly shot and killed a long-time rival during a shootout in Hale County Saturday.
According to court documents filed Tuesday, the suspect, Rayderell Jermaine Tinker, was driving a truck on Highway 13 and turned onto County Road 77, when he reportedly heard a gunshot as another vehicle passed him.
He saw the other driver stop in the road, and Curtis Lamar White reportedly got out, and the men began shooting at each other with handguns.

Investigators say Tinker fired every bullet in his magazine, and they found 15 9-millimeter shell casings where he was firing.
White was hit and fell into the roadway, and Tinker saw him lying there and called 911, but didn’t stay to render aid and instead reportedly drove to his own mother's house.
White was pronounced dead at the scene, and Tinker was found and arrested by law enforcement at his mother's place.
Tinker is also reportedly a convicted felon and was criminally barred from having the firearm he allegedly used to kill White.
He was charged with murder and illegally possessing the handgun and was placed in the Hale County Jail.
Tinker reportedly told police that he and White have been in a long-term rivalry over something that happened several years ago and have been in previous altercations with each other.
