Mac Jones and Teammates Hold Offseason Workouts in Florida

New England Patriots QB Mac Jones and some of his Patriot offensive teammates are holding offseason workouts in Florida this week.

On Tuesday, Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne posted a couple videos to his Instagram story with him, Jones, wide receiver Nelson Agholor, wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, and running back J.J. Taylor.

Bourne was seen in the videos hyping up his teammates about their individual weights, and specifically complimented Jones by sayin, "That boy Mac getting lean man," when panning the camera towards him. The rest of Bourne's Instagram story shows Jones passing the ball to his teammates and going through passing drills with them.

The Patriots newly acquired wide receiver DeVante Parker didn't miss out on the fun either, as Bourne posted on his Instagram story on Wednesday with Parker in it and tagged, as well as all the same offensive players that were in attendance on Tuesday.

New England traded a 2023 third-round pick to the Miami Dolphins for Parker and 2022 fifth-round draft pick last week. Drafted as the 14th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Parker recorded 4,727 yards and 24 touchdowns on 338 receptions in his seven season in the league, but hasn't had an 1,000 yard receiving season since 2019.

The trade for Parker could mean that the Patriots look for him to be the No. 1 wide receiver for the former Alabama QB, an opportunity that Parker likely would not have had with Miami because of their offseason acquisition of veteran wide receiver Tyreek Hill, as well as their second year receiver Jaylen Waddle being better receiving options.

The Patriots own the 21st pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. They were projected to use this pick for a wide receiver and even talked to a few receivers during the NFL Combine, but the addition of Parker might change their course.
