The Senior Bowl is continuing to rake in Crimson Tide talent, with Alabama quarterback Mac Jones being announced as the next member of the 2020 National Champions to be showcased in Mobile January 30.

Jones joins Alex Leather wood, Deonte Brown, Landon Dickerson and DeVonte Smith for the senior bowl, though Dickerson and Smith will not participate in an athletic sense due to injuries.

The Senior Bowl has already begun to announce the rosters for the National and American teams and both teams have three quarterbacks each. The National team will have Notre Dame's Ian Book, Texas's Sam Ehlinger and Arkansas's Feleipe Franks while the American team will have Florida's Kyle Trask, Texas A&M's Kellen Mond and Georgia / Wake Forest's Jamie Newman. The Senior Bowl has not indicated how Jones will fit onto either squad.

Jones's outlook at the next level is one of the most heated conversations as the path to the NFL Draft gets started. Where some love Jones's accuracy, others point to the talent around him. While most agree he will be a first round pick, there are analysts who suspect Jones isn't worth the risk.

Most recently, ESPN Draft analyst Todd McShay mocked Jones to the Indianapolis Colts with the 21st-overall selection in his latest mock draft. McShay has been the most prominent name backing Jones as an NFL prospect, being one of the first to call him a first round prospect.

Regardless of the negative narratives surrounding his leap to the next level, Jones leaves Alabama as one of the single most decorated quarterbacks in program history. Jones holds numerous records at Alabama, the SEC and the NCAA, including all-time single-season passing yards at Alabama with 4500 yards, the NCAA's single season completion percentage record at 77.4% and single-season passer efficiency rating of 203.06, topping Joe Burrow's 201.96 from just a season ago.

With the record book littered with his name, Jones also has his name engraved on several trophies, including the Davey O'Brien, Johnny Unitas, and announced Tuesday morning just after his Senior Bowl confirmation, the Manning Award given to the nation's top quarterback.

Though Jones still has to prove he can be a franchise quarterback for an NFL team, he's done plenty up to this point to put himself in prime position to succeed. His agent, Tom Condon, who represented Drew Brees and the Mannings, will continue that effort as well.
