Looks like the area near the Northport City Hall may see a huge increase in traffic as more businesses have been added to the “Coming Soon” roster.

According to Northport City Councilman Jay Logan, Marble Slab creamery and Great American Cookie Company are slated to come to the area east of city hall.

Councilman Jeff Hogg already announced a new Guthries restaurant would be built near the Northport Civic Center, where a Planet Fitness Gym and Firehouse Subs would be coming next year. Read more on that here.

In years past, there were movements toward establishing an entertainment complex near the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Northport.
