See Where Alabama Ranks Among Safest States To Spend Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and this year is no doubt going to look different than other years.

COVID-19 has everyone doing things out of the norm. We're so used to going to visit family members, eating meals from different people's houses but this year that might not be the best idea. With talks of another wave in the U.S, a socially distanced thanksgiving sounds best.

With so many college students traveling back home for the holidays, many people may be wondering what's the safest state for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday?

It turns out, after their research, the safest state to spend Thanksgiving is Vermont. I've never been to Vermont and never had a reason to go, this honestly will NOT make me want to go. Lol!

Alabama came in at the 42nd safest state to spend Thanksgiving this year. Mississippi wasn't too far behind coming in at number 45 on the list out of the 50 states used in the study. Georgia was actually ranked way safer than Alabama and Mississippi. Georgia was listed as the 30th safest state to spend Thanksgiving.

Whatever your plans are for Thanksgiving, please be safe. Be sure to wash your hands, practice social distancing and use your best judgment.
