Alabama redshirt junior Slade Bolden is one of the most experienced players on the Crimson Tide offense but even the leaders make mistakes. Bolden hauled in three receptions for 19 yards against the University of Florida but it was his huge touchdown drop that remained in the minds of Alabama fans.

“I’m glad you asked that question. Working on receiving and catching is one of the biggest things I take pride in. I'm always trying to catch everything that's around me, and it's not like me to drop a ball, but it happens. I’m not perfect in football and just in life, it happens," said Bolden. "I was able to just, once that happened, just to go on to the next play. What is the next thing that I can do to help the team, and also what's the next opportunity that may present itself and take advantage of it? And I was able to have coaches and teammates be able to keep me from getting too down on myself, which I knew from jump as soon as it happened to forget about it. Next play mentality and that's what I'll continue to do."

The Crimson Tide was able to overcome Bolden's blunder and still punched the ball into the endzone on the drive. Super senior running back Brian Robinson walked the ball across the goal line on 4th down to put the Tide up by two scores.

Bolden has hauled in seven receptions in this young season for 63 yards and a touchdown and will undoubtedly remain in a large role for the Crimson Tide offense for the remainder of the year.
