The Stillman Tigers were defeated by the Saint Francis Cougars 69-67 in the NAIA Men's Basketball Championship Round of 16. Stilman's finished the season with 17-4 record, winning the Southern States Athletic Conference West Division, finishing runner-up in the SSAC Tournament and won its first NAIA Tournament game and advanced to the program's first NAIA Round of 16.

"It's a blessing. We hate we ended it there, but it's really a good testimony for this group and how special they are. For them to overcome all of the obstacles and setbacks this year, it shows you how special they are," said Stillman coach John Teasley. "I'll never forget this team. I'll never want to go through this year with any other team. God knew what I needed, and I wouldn't change anything for the world."

The Tigers led for 33 minutes in the game thanks to strong rebounding and a balanced scoring effort, however the Tigers were unable to secure victory due to turning the ball over 22 times to the Cougars.

Stillman was led offensively by Roger Davis and Devin Merriweather, Davis scored 16 and Merriweather added 15 points. Davis converted on two free-throws late in the game to tie the score at 67, however Merriweather was unable to make a 3-pointer with .4 seconds on the clock, ultimately resigning the Tigers to defeat.

The Saint Francis Cougars were led offensively by junior Antwaan Cushingberry scoring 28 points to take them into the Round of Eight. Cushingberry scored the last four points for the Cougars in the games final two possessions sealing Stillman's fate.

Every Stillman Tiger that appeared in the game scored at least five points in the contest but it was not enough to advance further in the tournament.
