The city of Tuscaloosa's annual Christmastime celebration is returning to the Black Warrior River next month -- with COVID-19 precautions in place, of course.

A city spokesperson announced Wednesday that Holidays on the River will open at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on November 23rd and run through January 18th, 2021.

As ever, the Yuletide celebration will feature ice-skating, rides in horse-drawn carriages and more. This year, though, the outdoor rink will be limited to 50 percent of its total capacity, and hand sanitizing stations will be placed throughout the Amphitheater to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Entry to the winter wonderland is free, but guests must purchase $15 one-time or $85 seasonlong passes to skate on the rink. Season passes will go on sale Sunday, Nov. 1 at holidaysontheriver.com.

The City also offers birthday and corporate party rental packages.
