University Of Alabama Students Receives Message Ahead Of Championship Weekend
One of the biggest weekends of the year for Alabama fans is coming up soon. The University of Alabama sent out a message to students regarding celebrations.
Friday, January 7th, The University of Alabama students were asked to "set an example of safety, passion and class," as they cheered on the Football team during the upcoming National Championship game.
The message came from Vice President of Student Life Myron L. Pope, Ed.D.
Pope's message included tips for the students while they're out supporting the team.
- Make wise decisions before, during and after the game. Masks are recommended around others and wherever it’s required.
- Be a good teammate and competitor – respect the impact your actions may have on those around you.
Just like other fans, it's understood that many students may choose to make the trip to Indianapolis for the game. While away, it's easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of the weekend and forget to stay safe.
"Whether you are attending the game in Indianapolis or watching from Tuscaloosa or somewhere else," Pope's message read.
"As our campus community unites to cheer on the Tide, please remember to do your part to keep yourself and our community safe"
