The latest data from the Alabama Department of Public Health shows that confirmed cases of COVID-19 within the state continue to climb.

The ADPH notes they have processed 8,393 tests and confirmed 1,270 cases of the novel Coronavirus. There are 37 confirmed cases in Tuscaloosa County and 34 confirmed cases in Walker County. Pickens County has nine confirmed cases of COVID-19; Greene and Bibb Counties each have four confirmed cases, and Fayette, Hale, and Lamar Counties each have one confirmed case.

Jefferson County remains the epicenter of the state's outbreak with 332 confirmed cases, and Shelby County has 101 confirmed cases.

The ADPH has received reports of 32 deaths from COVID-19 within Alabama and has confirmed that 17 of those deaths were caused by the virus.
