The Community Childcare Cultivator program is inviting residents to learn how they can turn their homes into Licensed Family or Group Childcare Homes. Organizers say the goal is to expand access to safe, nurturing childcare while also creating new small business opportunities for people who have a heart for working with children.

The program offers training and guidance for those interested in starting a licensed home daycare. From understanding state requirements to building a strong foundation for success, participants will receive support every step of the way.
Two orientation meetings are scheduled for community members who want to learn more. Sessions will be held on January 29 and February 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Synergic Center, located at 3500 5th Street in Northport.

Organizers encourage anyone who has ever considered opening a home daycare to attend and explore what is possible. For more information, you can reach out by email at hglasgow@sheltonstate.edu or gchandler@tuscaloosaoneplace.org, call 205.391.2689, or visit 3by3childcare.com.
