This week, we pulled up on the lovely ladies of CAPS Tuscaloosa. They are Child Abuse Prevention Services of Tuscaloosa. With the onset of the Pandemic, we truly found out how much organizations like these matter. The pandemic actually showed that the risk for child abuse and neglect was increased.

CAPS Tuscaloosa provides services to Pre K-12th grade students in Tuscaloosa County and City School systems. The educational programs that CAPS provides include Shaken Baby Syndrome, Nurturing Parenting classes, Nurturing Baby/Safe Sleep program, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Understanding Prenatal Drug Exposure, Sudden unexplained Infant Death and Signs of Child Abuse and How to Report. Huge shoutout to CAPS Tuscaloosa for the work they're doing in our community for our kids.
