Young Dolph Detained by Police After Allegedly Tossing Leafy Substance Out of Car
Young Dolph once again found himself in the grip of law enforcement—even if it was just for a short time.
According to a report TMZ published on Friday morning (Nov. 8), police pulled over Dolph as he was driving around in Fairburn, Ga., on Thursday morning. Police officers reportedly pulled over Dolph after noticing that the rapper was riding around with an expired, paper license plate. After the officers put on their lights, Dolph reportedly continued to drive for a few blocks and then proceeded to toss a "leafy substance" out of his window.
In the video of the police encounter, Dolph can be seen on his knees with his hands cuffed behind his back. Cops reportedly searched the yellow Lamborghini SUV but didn't find any drugs, guns or other contraband in his possession. Since the green substance was scattered on a busy road, police reportedly also couldn't determine whether the green substance Dolph threw out was weed. Based on the search, the officers couldn't arrest Dolph. Instead, they decided to ticket the rapper for littering and let him go.
This is the second time Dolph has escaped an incident with police in recent months. Back in September, the Memphis rapper was pulled over in Atlanta after police allegedly smelled marijuana in his Mercedes-Benz G Wagon. After he was pulled over, police officers immediately ordered everyone to get out of the vehicle. That's when Dolph and his crew were placed in handcuffs.
After a search was conducted, police couldn't find the source of the alleged smell nor were there any other drugs or contraband on them. Since they couldn't arrest the rapper, Dolph was ticketed for not wearing a seat belt, and they were all free to go.
XXL has reached out to Dolph's camp as well as the Fairburn Police Department for comment. Watch the video of Young Dolph's recent run-in with police below.
