Taylor said witnesses reported a head-on collision involving two vehicles.

One person was killed in the crash, Taylor said, and another was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center with injuries.

The roads closed as the wreck was processed, cleared and investigated, but Taylor said the route was re-opened at 1:30 Thursday afternoon.

Tuscaloosa Police Department’s Accident Reconstruction Unit responded and is investigating the circumstances of the collision, she said.

The identify of the person killed was not publicly released Thursday afternoon.
