98 Alabama Student-Athletes Made The SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll
This is massive news for The University of Alabama. The Crimson Tide has close to 100 student-athletes earning the accolade of being placed on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll.
The Fall Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll list was announced, and The University of Alabama not only landed 98 student-athletes on the list, but 47 of those students are on the Bama's SEC & National Championship football team.
The 47 football players on the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll list included some big names! According to Roll Tide, Mac Jones, Landon Dickerson, & DeVonta Smith were among those on the list. This isn't the only honor they've received this year. Landon Dickerson won the Rimington Trophy, Mac Jones won the Davey O'Brien and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm awards and DeVonta Smith won the Heisman Trophy.
Cross Country, Soccer, & Volleyball athletes were among the other sports areas that made it onto the list for the Crimson Tide.
To earn a spot on this coveted list, the SEC states that student-athletes must have a GPA of 3.00 or above for either the preceding academic year (two semesters or three quarters) or have a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or above at the nominating institution.
Congratulations to these amazing student-athletes for their hard work in the classrooms. It's no easy task to excel in your sport and in the classroom. ROLL TIDE!
