"The data that we receive from this assessment not only plays a factor in our school’s report card, but it also helps our faculty/staff make data-informed decisions that will impact our students academically, now and in the future."

Central Elementary students participated in dancing contests, and games and the staff even got involved during the pep rally with some dancing of their own.

ACAP, which stands for the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program, is an online assessment designed to provide students, parents, teachers, administrators, and Alabama residents with information regarding student progress toward mastery of the Alabama Course of Study Standards.

Kendra Hope wanted to make sure the Central Elementary students were excited about taking the ACAP this year.

"It allows students to be engaged about their year-long academic accomplishments and success. It also motivates students to do well on the ACAP, and to take full accountability and ownership of their learning."

Hope continues, "Hyping the students up is just an extra push that some of them need in order to preform at their highest potential."

ACAP testing for Central Elementary begins April 9th and goes until April 18th.
