Tuesday Oct. 29th, 105.1 The Block participated in the Denzel Davis Memorial Health Fair on the campus of Stillman College to honor the life of Stillman student Denzel Davis and to educate the community on health and wellness.

This health fair was very beneficial to not only the Stillman students, but the Tuscaloosa community, as they were welcomed on campus to receive free health screenings for blood pressure, HIV/AIDS, blood glucose, sickle cell and diabetes. Other services were also offered like suicide prevention & sexual assault prevention.

The United States National Guard was also on-site with different physical challenges including a major rock wall! The students loved it! Of course we had to get plenty of pictures with some listeners on campus!

It was my pleasure to be at this event as their official DJ making sure we all danced and had a good time while supporting a good cause, especially since Denzel Davis was my frat brother. In true Alpha fashion, the brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha came out in numbers along with the student body to support the memorial health fair. I loved being apart of this event, and can't wait to come back to Stillman College again soon!
