Do Alabamians Sleep With The A/C On When It's Cold Outside?
So the temperature has been rather low in Alabama in recent weeks. Being from Florida and not used to low temps, I have a few questions for Alabamians.
This morning I woke up and seen it was 32 degrees! If you're an Alabamian this may not be a huge deal for you. With me being from Florida, it is definitely a huge deal. I could count on one hand how many times we could wake up to these kinds of temperatures in Orlando within a year. It's not a lot.
I only checked the temperature after running to the thermostat and turning on the heat, because of course, I sleep with the a/c on.
Then it hit me! I absolutely cannot sleep with the heat on. It kills me! I really wondered what was the "proper" thing to do when it's freezing cold outside and you're going to sleep. How do Alabamians sleep when it's cold outside? Do you use the a/c? Do you keep the heat low enough so the house stays just cool enough to sleep? Do you all sleep with the heat on?! WHEW! I can't imagine.
Call me ignorant, but I have no idea if this is a thing, or am I just odd. I'd go crazy sleeping with the heat on. Yes, I'm from Florida, and I like the heat, but not enough to sleep in it. I need to sleep in comfort, and that means cool, not hot.
So do Alabamians sleep with the a/c on in cold temperatures?
