Hiking, Great Views & More At This Alabama Trail

Living In Alabama, I've really been trying so many new things. After seeing these pictures, hiking may be added to the list of things to try!

So far, living in Alabama has been a huge adjustment. I'm originally from Florida, the land of theme parks, fast living, and year-round summers. Being in Alabama, I've learned to appreciate the little things and value family. I've been doing things with my family more and wouldn't mind taking my family to this trail in Alabama.

Luckily for me, there are trails that beginner hikers can use. Say hello to Alabama's Walker Bynum Smith Mountain Tower Trail.

The views at this trail are ridiculous! Imagine watching the Alabama sunset while looking at over 41,000 acres. This might be a fun date if you're both into doing physical activity and nature.

According to Only in Your State, this trail is a 0.7-mile loop, located near the tiny town of Dadeville in Alabama. By now, you're probably wondering how you can get this amazing view right? Well on the trail there is a fire tower. It stands at approximately 90 feet tall, the Smith Mountain Fire Tower was originally constructed in 1939. However, it wasn't until 2012 that it was open to the public following a full restoration.

As the weather warms up, this is definitely on my list of places to go in Alabama. I've never been hiking before, but this may be my first hiking location!
