Being from Florida, a Primary Runoff Election is something I'm not accustomed to hearing about. I've recently found out that Alabama is one of ten states that participate in Primary Runoff Elections.

Amid concerns of contracting the Coronavirus, many people do not plan to show up to polls to vote. In fact, Alabama Secretary Of State John H. Merrill is recommending for those people to apply for and cast an absentee ballot. If you're like me and you need a refresher on how to apply for an absentee ballot, you can check out this quick step-by-step video. With only 65 days left to apply for an absentee ballot application, you have multiple ways to access the application. The Office of the Secretary of State has created a full campaign to educate Alabama voters on the ways they can participate in the upcoming Primary Runoff Election. Below is an excerpt from the official press release from the Office of the Secretary of State.
