Jermaine Burton was a transfer from the University of Georgia after the Bulldogs defeated the Crimson Tide in the 2022 College Football National Championship. He would end his Crimson Tide career leading Alabama in receiving yards in back-to-back seasons, with 677 yards and 798 respectively.

With the No. 80 overall pick in the NFL draft, the Cincinnati Bengals have selected Alabama wide receiver Jermaine Burton.

Burton can come in and take over as the Bengals wide receiver three behind Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins, barring Higgins being traded. Burton has been known to have top-50 talent, but off-the-field concerns saw him fall in the draft.

The hope is that he can do things the right way "on and off the field" according to former Alabama head coach Nick Saban on ABC's NFL draft coverage. Coach Saban called Burton a competitor as well.
