TUSCALOOSA- The Tuscaloosa County Wildcats were shut out at home against Hewitt Trussville 49-0 on Friday, October 25th, 2024, leaving them winless on the season.
The Wildcat offense put up an efficient first drive that took five minutes off the clock, and the Huskies' defense stepped up and forced a turnover on downs, with the Hewit Trussville defensive line coming off the line with power and stuffing County High's running back for a two-yard loss on fourth and one.

Hewit Trussville's offense responded to their defense's big play with a touchdown on their first offensive drive of the game. Huskies Senior quarterback Noah Dobbins ran in a 3-yard rush for six, putting Hewitt Trussville up 7-0 with 2:55 seconds left in the first quarter after the successful PAT attempt.
The second quarter was all Huskies, with the Hewitt Trussville offense scoring 35 unanswered points and totaling over 300 yards. The Huskies' defense performed admirably, limiting the Wildcats to less than 100 yards in the first half. Hewitt Trussville led by 42 points at halftime owing to the Huskies' senior quarterback, who scored once through the air and twice on the ground.
Hewitt Trussville scored the sole points in the second half, when Hewitt Trussville's Senior running back broke off a 60-yard touchdown run on the first play of the third quarter, extending the Huskies' lead to 49 points just 20 seconds later following a successful PAT.
Tuscaloosa County falls to 0-8 following Friday's 49-point humiliation at the hands of Hewitt Trussville, who will move to 8-2 following this dominant victory.
