Jaylen Waddle was an electric player during his time in Tuscaloosa, making show-stopping plays each time he touched the football. The junior from Houston is taking his talents into the NFL this spring and is expected to become one of the first wide receivers drafted this year.

Waddle was asked on the NFL Network recently who he prefers playing wide receiver for between Mac Jones and Tua Tagovailoa.

"I like Mac Jones, just my preference. Both of them are great quarterbacks but I love Mac, he was the guy I came in with and from day one we were on the third team together and we worked our way up," said Waddle to Andrew Siciliano.

Waddle was on pace for an incredible season before breaking his ankle against Tennessee this season. He still finished the year with 28 receptions for 591 yards and four touchdowns.

The speedster initially showed off his chemistry with Jones in the 2019 Iron Bowl. Jones was forced to start for the injured Tagovailoa and heavily featured Waddle against the Tigers. Although the team fell just three points short the two combined for four completions for 98 yards and three touchdowns.

Waddle is one of three wide receivers vying to be the first one selected in the NFL Draft along with his teammate DeVonta Smith and LSU's Ja'Marr Chase.

As for his quarterback, Jones has been rising up draft boards the entire year and is now looking like a potential top-10 selection. Ringing endorsements from Smith at the Senior Bowl and Waddle on NFL Network should help ensure Jones goes off the board early in the upcoming draft.
