Former Alabama and current Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has had a wild year since departing the capstone and entering the NFL. Waddle broke the NFL record for rookie receptions in a season, he's a part of an offense that's trending upwards and he's even been giving back to the community.

If that's not enough to keep the Houston-native busy, he's also fulfilling another role for the Alabama Crimson Tide, secret recruiter.

Waddle was recently seen on social media working out with class of 2025 quarterback prospect Davi Belfort.

While the pair were likely just looking to get some offseason training in as they both reside around the Miami area, it is possible the second-year NFL star could have been serving as an ambassador for his old college coach and program.

Belfort is just finishing up his freshman year at Dillard High School in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida but he's already one of the biggest names in his class amongst the other quarterback prospects.

Belfort has several college scholarship offers already, including one he got from the Crimson Tide in the summer of 2021. According to his 247Sports profile he went 8-4 while completing 59% off his passes for 2,016 yards with 22 TDs and just seven INTs, he also ran for 230 yards and six more scores.

He is the son of Brazilian superstar, MMA legend Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort. The Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight fighter was known for his superior athleticism and power leading to many exciting knockout victories.

Was Waddle really just catching passes with "The Phenom's" son? Or was he getting a read on the younger Belfort's development for Coach Nick Saban?

The 6-foot-1 freshman will continue to develop and most of the football world will stay fixed on Arch Manning for now, but if Belfort keeps working hard he could be the next name to take football by storm and perhaps surpass his father's fame.
