
Kentuck Arts Center Hosts Holiday Workshops
The Kentuck Arts Center is widely known for their nationally renowned arts festival but they also offer workshops for residents to enjoy. They've had their fall lineup of workshops, now it's time for the holiday themed workshops!

Take a look at just a few upcoming workshops being offered by the Kentucky Arts Center below.
Christmas Card Camp 2025
Instructed by Molly Nelko
Age Range: All Ages
Dates:
- Session A: December 9, 2025, 10-11am.
- Session B: December 9, 2025, 6-7pm.
- Session C: December 10, 2025, 10-11am.
Location: Kentuck's Georgine Clarke Building
Tuition: $20 all supplies included
This class is for all ages, but children 10 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.
Have you ever received a homemade Holiday card that made you feel really special? This class will instruct you on multiple ways to make a professional looking yet personal homemade Holiday card for your loved ones.
You will make use of multiple art media for a unique personal touch, as well as learn some tricks and techniques that give the card a clean professional look. This class is a great opportunity for parents and children to spend some fun quality time together and make something heartfelt for someone else.
Fused Glass Pendants
Instructed by Joni Esser-Stuart
Age Range: 18+
Dates:
- Session A: December 6, 2025, 1-4pm.
- Session B: December 13, 2025, 1-4pm.
Times: 1-4 PM
Location: Kentuck's Georgine Clarke Building
Tuition: $100 + $25 materials fee payable to the instructor
Looking for a personalized gift for Christmas? Give the gift of art with a handmade, one-of-a-kind glass pendant, or a class registration so your loved one can make their own!
Joni Esser-Stuart will be teaching a three hour pendant making class! In this workshop, participants will create three pendants and will learn the basics of kiln formed glass, how to cut glass and the process of designing fused glass pendants. These wearable pieces of art will allow students an opportunity to be creative in crafting their unique one of a kind pendants. Joni will provide a selection of regular fusible glass as well as dichroic glass to use in designing your pendants.
Pendants will be fired and Joni will schedule a brief meeting (approximately 15 minutes) one week later at a mutually agreeable time to add bails to each pendant.
All participants must wear closed toed shoes to attend the workshop! There is a $25 materials fee for this workshop which must be paid to the instructor via cash or check at the beginning of the workshop.
Clay Christmas Ornaments
Instructed by Amy Smoot
Age Range: All ages*
Dates: November 22 & 23
Times: See above for 1 hour time slots
Location: Kentuck's Clay Studio
Tuition: $25; All supplies included
Join Amy Smoot on November 22nd or 23rd to create your own clay Christmas ornaments! Choose from a variety of Christmas shapes to cut out your ornament, and decorate your ornament with textures and glazes in this one hour workshop. Participants will be given a slab of clay and should be able to make 2-3 ornaments depending on size and shape.
Saturday, November 22 Session A: 2:30-3:30 Session B: 3:45-4:45 Session C: 5-6
Sunday, November 23 Session D: 12:30 -1:30 Session E: 1:45-2:45 Session F: 3-4
This class is for all ages, but participants 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult. If you and your child would both like to create an ornament, you must purchase one spot for each participant. Please limit arrival time/end time to the start time/end time of your session to allow for clean up and turnover between each session. Ornaments will be fired and available to pick up in Kentuck’s Clay Studio within 3-4 weeks. Participants will be contacted via email once they’re ready for pick up.
